If you ever go through Shiprock, NM you have to stop at Thatsaburger. Of course we had to try it coming from the home of the Whataburger. We came in and the owner immediately greeted us and carried on conversation. Super nice guy!! But they had my favorite orange cream milkshake and it's the best I've ever had! The Thatsaburger burger and fries were amazing! Super soft bread and the fries were perfect and tasted homemade!! Love this place!!
This place is great. Fresh food. Green Chile burger excellent. Smothered fries amazing...a meal in itself. Exceptionally friendly staff and local folks. What a nice alternative to Burger King and McDonalds!!!
Located in the heart of Shiprock, near Shiprock's iconic Iron bridge and intersection leading to AZ and CO is Thatsaburger. This place has grown through the years, and now it is complete updated inside. From the simple walls from the past to faux brick walls and native American art and design. This simple American restaurant has aged nicely. They have updated menus, and updated POS systems that take cash, card and now, ApplePay. So tap your phone and your food will be securely paid for. Whoever upgraded the interior of this building deserves a free meal or two. The brick work, the wooden ceilings, and the artwork alone makes this a cozy place to devour your food. (I've attached photos). They have a clean patio section as well, if you prefer to eat outside in the warm sun as you watch cars pass by. If you're in a hurry, you can order by phone or drive-thru. Their menu is mostly American foods: burgers, bbq, chicken fish sandwiches, full dinners and stews. They also serve native American dishes, like navajo tacos, green chile stew, frybread and more. Desserts are a must, as I grew up eating their delicious ice creams (butterscotch being much favorite). They also carry iced coffee, smoothies and shakes. Making this a one-stop shop for any kind of hunger or thirst you're craving. Come by and support this small business, and skip all those nearby chain restaurants.
